Monumental MCM Glass Lamp Attributed to Piero Fornasetti Studio

Enormous c. 1965 mid century modern, Roman theme glass and metal table lamp attributed to, or in the style of, the studio of Piero Fornasetti of Milan Italy. MCM artwork combined with more traditional, ornate metal work. Image repeated on both sides is of four Roman soldiers marching single file past the Colosseum in Rome. Absolutely magnificent at 36" to the top of the bulb socket and a massive 46" in circumference, with a 14.5" diameter. In remarkable condition free of nicks, scratches, paint loss, chips or cracks. Original wiring and switch work as new. An amazing statement piece in the right setting.
