Most antique Windsor chairs are either painted black or darkly stained to hide the fact they were often made of multiple species of wood. These are a bit unique in their light stain, revealing matched Maple construction of the entire chair. Made by the Karpen Co. in Chicago approximately 1910. Brass maker badgers as shown. Structurally very sound, they do give that (well, what we think) comforting, charming creaking sound as you sit down. Each measures 39" high x 23 wide x 21 deep. Seat height is 18".
