WWII era Egyptian Souvenir throw or shawl from 1943. Egypt did not directly take part in the war but there were 10's of thousands of British military personal stationed there and this likely was brought back to England as a keepsake, and eventually made its way to the U.S. In fantastic drawer kept condition. Brilliant colors to the intricate needlepoint work. Measures 33 x 35 plus approximately another inch including the fringe. Nothing ripped or stained. Quite the time capsule.
