1930's Hartz Mountain Canary in a Coal Mine Bird Seed Advertising Bird Cage

We see these from time to time and finally spotted one still with the original hand painted wooden Canary! These are usually long gone. Hartz Mountain bird feed promotional 'Canary in a Coal Mine' advertising piece. Front end has a 'hidden' panel that slides up to expose the bird. In general overall good condition. The floorboards are a bit rough as shown, and there is a single dowel missing on the back. Otherwise, very nice and solid. Measures 6,5 x 5 x 6H. NOTE! The bird is attached to its perch by a piece of rigid wire stuck into the wood. It's likely to come off its perch during shipping but easily goes back on.
